As with anything new, there IS a learning curve,
but with blogging,it's really just a matter of
getting in there and doing it.

The WordPress install is so easy, although the
customization DOES take some work. The most
work for me has always been finding the right
theme. That just takes sifting through all of the
sites offering free or low-cost themes until you
find one that feels right.

I generally have custom headers created... often
out of digital photos that I have. You can see a
very simple example of where I just used a photo
of me speaking at one seminar, and added it to a
shot from another seminar at:
http://internetmarketingseminarschedule.com/

Incidentally, the montization model for that blog
is that I use affiliate urls when listing events.
I typically earn 30% - 50% commission when someone
reads about a seminar on that blog and then
sign up through my link. On a $997 - $1997 seminar,
that's not too shabby for just making a post :-)

That same blog/site has links to travel services
and related products/services... all related
to seminars, that I also earn a commission on.

When someone finds a seminar that they want to
attend, it's natural for them to the start looking
for travel and accommodations.

Very simple model that earns me thousands of
dollars some months.

Also, you can see that that blog is VERY plain
looking. I need to go back some day and pretty it
up.

hi Willie

you make it seem so easy! I am just starting out with online marketing and have lots to learn. which also means learning how to put codes into websites etc etc and creating a professionally looking blog that makes me money.

i have just created a wordpress account, and need to complete the design on it and then post my blogs

comments on my existing blog would be appreciated

Nice concept Yvonne, and I am all for it. Kudos to you for starting this site.

I extend a helping hand where I can, simply because not enough big wigs do it IMO, and I want to be different from the norm. It’s refreshing to see there are other like-minded people out there.

Feel free to follow me on Twitter and I will do the same. Your A-OK in my book and I'd love to keep in touch.

All good things,
Bonnie Gean

The best part of making a list is being able to look at it at the end of the day and see that things are marked off. No matter how unproductive the day seemed, at least you have proof that you did something! My lists are always hand-written and marked off manually, which is a great way to celebrate the completion of a task (scribble-scribble-scritch-scritch-yay it's done!).

I just came to the site after connecting on Facebook. So glad I did!

Lovely design, and I love the philosophy. I try to find a way to do a favor for every new person I meet, and will add visit Yvonne's site to that list of good ideas to share.

I am looking forward to seeing this site grow as the mission statement on the first paragraph is something you don't find often on the internet.

When I first started learning all about internet marketing, it was so disappointing to find that there was never anyone at the other end of the email. It always bounced back as a no reply - so this is a great advantage to newbies.

Good luck, you deserve it.

April 1st, 2008

Been too long since I posted but that
doesn't mean I haven't been working :)

Busy busy organizing my files and my
schedule so I can put good information
on this site and also on the Membership
site where you can have actual programs
to download and packs of information.

So I won't type out my actual list since
it would be too long :) But do note
that I am making progress.
